I-IV-V-I Funky Rock Groove #1

In this lesson we’re going to learn a funky rock groove inspired by Ben Harper’s 2000 hit single, “Steal My Kisses.” For this groove we’ll be playing over a IIVVI progression, but we’ll be adding in some intermediary chords as well. This lesson is divided into two parts.

in the first part we’ll learn the basic changes in 3 inversions with the left and righthand rhythms locked together. In the second part, we’ll make the left hand a little more active and try mixing and matching inversions in the right hand for several cycles of the form.
