Thanks for the info on the top wood Chas. I can't imagine the point of a cutaway 12 string! The cutaways hurt the acoustic sound of any guitar and I never play above the 14th fret any way so... wish I could find the link you sent me with all the details of my Tak according to the serial number...

The top on this model was Cedar and the Fingerboard is rosewood. The cutaway version had an ugly Ebony block rosette

This model came after the Martin 'Lawsuit' Taks of the 70's. Which is a myth anyway Tak changed style before Lawsuit eventuated apparently.
