iii-vi-ii-V's #1 - Jazz Chord Progression - Piano Lesson
In this lesson we’re going to learn another common jazz chord progression, the iiivi-ii-V. The iii-vi-ii-V works especially well as an occasional variation on the I-vi-ii-V sequence for extended intros, or repeated on its own for extended outros;
it also fits well within the form itself. A couple of tunes that feature the iii-vi-ii-V progression are “Will You Still be Mine,” by Matt Dennis & Tom Adair, and “Have You Met Miss Jones,” by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart.
